Getting Started Training

Dates for Interviews and Module 1 are now on the calendar.

Applicants requiring Module 3 MUST let the Local Training Manager know if they are going to attend please, otherwise the course will be cancelled.

Don't forget that once you have completed the modules, you need to be validated before a full appointment can be issued, contact your GSL or if you do not have a GSL, then contact a Training Adviser to be validated.

Remember, you can wear the Getting Started Pin Badge once you complete this part of your training.

May we remind all applicants and line managers that it is your responsibilty to ensure that the training is completed within the required time limit. Persons who do not complete their Getting Started Training within the five months, are no longer insured and can therefore no longer assist the sections.

Woodbadge Training

Open Training Sessions are run by the district as shown on the Calendar, there are also Drop-in Sessions planned for Saturday mornings, dates are on the Calendar.

Open Training Evenings are held throughout the Area over the year and a list is available below to download.

Anyone working on their woodbadge who cannot get to a open Evening are asked to contact the local Training Manager or a Training Adviser.

NOTE: The PADSAC Evening in June is cancelled. Now at the Hub on the Wednesday, Check with Area.
